Phi Beta Delta

Tonight I was inducted into Phi Beta Delta, the national honors society for international studies.  It was a nice evening and really put my study abroad into perspective a bit more. I am privileged as a student to have been to as many places as I can.

Our guest speaker was a peace activist from Northern Ireland. His accent, softly spoken voice and excitement for travel made me even more excited to be leaving in roughly 2 months.  HOLY COW! I leave in two months!? It’s so soon!

I was so glad that my mom and brother drove in from Cleveland to spend the evening with me. I had an RA staff meeting and I have class tomorrow so I barely got to spend any time with them. I wish they were staying an extra day.

Unfortunately, it is late and I have another busy week ahead of me. I hope to take some time to write a lot about life soon.
